Mustang Manual Transmissions 1979-2014

The Ford Mustang has offered both a manual transmission and automatic transmission option from 1979 all the way to 2014. In this article, we'll cover the manual transmissions that were factory equipment behind V8 Mustang engines.

 

Um... not to be pedantic, but there has not been one model year where either a manual or automatic transmission could not be had in a Mustang. This statement should correctly read "...from 1964 all the way to 2014." or more correctly "... in it's entire history."

I get the article is for '79 and up Mustangs, but let us not forget the correct history of our beloved pony car.
