2011 V6 Aluminum Shafts Now Available

Hello Forum Members:

We wanted to make everyone aware that we have determined that 2011 Mustangs, either GT or V6, manual or automatic transmission, are all using the same driveshaft. Unlike 2005-2010 V6 vehicles that have an OEM 1 piece shaft. The 2011 V6 is using the same transmission and rear axle as the 2011 GT and is also using the 40lb. 2 piece OEM driveshaft.

Our single piece aluminum shaft is now available.

These shafts feature the same innovative design as our 2005-2010 GT "Direct Bolt In" aluminum driveshafts.

Critical Update

After further investigation we have now determined that the 2011 V6 Mustang does not use the same driveshaft as the 2011 V8 GT.

Our original determination was based on information that we received from several normally reliable sources. The main source being a Ford dealership partsman with over 20 years experience who was emphatic that all 2011 GT and V6 Mustangs use the same driveshaft.

We have modified the listing on our website to show availability of just GT shafts. We are working diligently to get the V6 shafts spec'd out and have them available as soon as possible.

We would like to apologize to the Mustang community for our role in disseminating this misinformation.
