2012 YB V6 Performance Pkg Ordered

Hi Folks,

After viewing all the YB pics posted here, I ordered my V6 YB with performance pkg, 6 spd manual, spoiler and tape delete from my local dealer. My local dealer said their Mustang allocation calls for an August 2011 build date. I read Ford has a shortage of V6 engines since this engine is also used in the F150 pick-ups which are selling well with the V6. Article said Ford is moving most V6 engines to F150's because the F150 is far more profitable then Mustangs.....hurting & delaying Mustang V6 manufacturing output at Flat Rock. Brings back memories when I ordered a new 2005 Mustang GT premium in November 2004 and it was built in August 2005. Dealer wanted me to changer order to 2006 GT, but I wanted the 1 year only color sonic blue. I still own this 2005 GT with less than 500 miles on it. I add 18" 2006 Mustang GT chrome SVT spoked rims.

I'll post pics when it arrives in August....hopefully.

Dave

Congrats on your order Dave. Yellow Blaze is currently my top pick in colors too. I haven't pulled the trigger yet though - probably not untill next year. Are you aware that Sonic Blue is coming back?

These "By Color" threads are fantastic. Thanks to all of you who have posted your cars as it really helps the rest of us with our decission.

Dave, I can't believe you have a 2005 Mustang with only 500 miles on it. I have a '97 M3 with 31K miles on it and thought that was extraordinary.

No offense, but what's the point? I have a 2 week old 2012 that had 2.8 miles on it when I picked it up and I'm clocking close to 700 pleasure miles on it. Why own it if not to drive it?

That aside, hopefully you are getting the YB to drive it because it's a fantastic car and you will really enjoy it!

Jay - no offense taken. I like mint / pristine muscle cars for viewing satisfaction.

The 2012 YB V6 Mustang will be a regular weekend cruiser.
