I think the front looks really good...but that rear offends me. I just noticed in the pictures that the "heat extractor vents" in the hood are covered on the bottom...so they're not really extracting any heat from the engine bay, correct? Do they just allow water/etc to just collect in there?

Are you serious? The SMS 460 Mustangs features a Saleen-brand supercharger with "SMS" decals slapped on top of the Saleen ones? What happened to their Lysholm-sourced Techco imitation (like the one found on the Challengers)?

Eh, I guess it didn't make much sense for SMS to engineer a supercharger for a one model year-run. I just wish SMS would have offered something other than a rebadged Saleen compressor, especially considering all the crap Steve talked about the "new" Saleen.

Oh, and the body panels still fit like crap, which is especially pathetic for a car ranging in price from $60K - almost $100K.

ya if i was gunna buy either a SMS or Saleen im going with the Saleen. Looks 100x better and SMS i just not cutting it for me. Ive seen the horrible fitting parts, and I cant stand those wheels they look like those hubcaps at pepboys. And like said before, just rebranding a Saleen s/c and putting SMS on it is BS. If they couldnt come up with one of thier own then they should have just left the s/c off and waited for the 2011 to come out.

With the current body style none of them are going to look good.

What is with SMS and all the chunkyness of thier designs? First it was gills now it's chunky plastic ugh.
Just look at how thick that rear "diffuser" is and that super thick giant bread board wing.

Steve Saleen was in Birmingham this fall at Adamson Ford for a signing event and is a very nice man. I have always loved his versions of the Mustang but I have one small problem with his new ones. He had one on display at the dealership where we were and it looked fabulous until I got around to looking under the hood, no supercharger and it stickered for over 62k. How can anyone sell a Mustang no matter how dolled up it is for over 62k without rebuilding the engine or greatly enhancing the power ? My engine was totally rebuilt by Roush. It has the larger TVS dual belt blower system and has many upgraded components in the drive-line. The interior and exterior were Roush modified as well as a full Roush exhaust and 20" chrome wheels and tires. All this and less expensive than the non-supercharged SMS Saleen Mustang, what gives ?
