There's performance options out there for the V6. This little addition would have a V6 easily running with or even out running the GT. Shelby motors got 475 hp out of a long block 3.7 with a supercharger on it and as you can see by the tag on the front of that engine bay 475hp is pretty standard for the procharger kit.

Give it some time and they'll release one for the S550 V6 especially given the current take rate on the V6.

So thank the 4 & 6 buyers for the high price of the gt.

The Eco is a bad *** no doubt, I had doubts when ordering my gt about the Ecoboost.

It's my same theory on the trucks. A std cab truck is completely worthless. Stop building them and the ext cab and crew cab trucks prices will drop.
That is so thoroughly untrue, it's not even funny. I can only assume your knowledge of economics and manufacturing is fairly low. If Ford could sell the same number of cars with a single engine AND have that car cost less, they'd do it. There have been many, many (many) articles written over the years how the 6's and the underpowered 4's of the 80's subsidized the creation of the V8's. They wouldn't sell nearly as many Mustangs if only an 8 was offered which would drive the cost of your car up to make the same margins.

From everything I've seen you post in multiple threads, I can only consider you a troll of the highest level disguised as someone who wants to spout "knowledge" based on nothing more than ill-informed opinions.

I have to agree with Jeff on that one. The claims he made to Stamm in the other thread were pretty ridiculous. I especially liked the one where he told Stamm that a 2015 V6 Mustang weighs 4500 lbs.

I remember when I used to be bad about just looking to start arguments on these forums. It's just stupid and I washed my hands of that kind of behavior. The trolls are just here to start arguments and they aren't worth our time Jeff. I'm ashamed that I ever acted the way that Anthony does. But it won't ever happen again. We are all Mustang owners and there is no point in tearing one another down for some sort of personal satisfaction or whatever it is that Anthony gets out of it.

The notion that 4 and 6 cylinder variants of the Mustang drive up the price of the GT is just ridiculous. I have no idea how he comes to that conclusion but it's just completely inaccurate. I'm not going to bother arguing with him because I know that's exactly what he's looking for is to start a stupid argument over nothing and personally insult posters who dare not drive a GT lol.

No way. I think if Ford offered just the 5.0 the Mustang would either have been discontinued or they would have gone the way of the Corvette where the base model would've been somewhere in the $50,000 range. The whole mission of the Mustang was to be a personal sporty car that can fit just about any budget. So those who feel that the Mustang should be V8 only should bow down to us 4 and 6 cylinder owners. We're the majority and the majority rules. (that felt good)

All true about the V-8. 40% of all 2014 Mustang sales were V-8's. I would almost bet with the addition of the Eco Boost V-8 sales for 2015 will be even lower. Scott

Thanks guys! I am very aware of economics and know what that guy was saying a pure BS. Without the mass production of V6 and 4Cylinder Mustangs which incidentally SPREADS production, development and testing through the entire line, thereby making the cars cheaper overall- the V8 Mustang would've gone the way of the Dodo or would've become Fords High end Halo car. It's the four and six bangers that earn money for Ford because they are sold on such a grand scale. That money is then used to justify the GT and other higher end models in a business case. Plus the Mustang was and is still an affordable car in al its dorms which offers high style and bang for the buck. That wouldn't be possible if Ford only had one much lower volume Mustang with the V8.

Still want to hear thoughts from 15 V6 owners about their cars! Want to see pics, ideas for mods, performance etc. I don't want to get into a debate about V6 vs Ecoboost lol

I'd be doing the same mods that I'd do to any Mustang...lower, exhaust, wheels...

Here is my car! Got a review over at mustang6g:

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10351

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10483

It is a-little old but everything I stated in my initial review still remains true! Loving the car and happy that I chose it over the Ecoboost! This is my first real mod as well.

Custom Exhaust:

I saw my first 15 yesterday. I'm not totally in love with the outside, THE interiors ROCK however! Would I buy one? Yes, and I think if it were my everyday car, I'd get an ecoboost 4 stick. I saw one with (I think) the performance pack, those rims/tires looked slick, and I liked the comp orange color. When my wife changes jobs there is a 11-14 3.7 auto premium coming into the stable for sure. She's wanted a Mustang in white for a long time, that 3.7 is a honey, great gas mileage (should beat her '02 Focus) and plenty of power, sign us up. We just aren't looking for a new car, I've got a year to pay off the BOSS, but who knows what kind of deals could be coming in a couple of years. Maybe it could be an S-550, I wouldn't rule it out if it were affordable.

Thanks for asking.. Yes I ordered my "Maggie" and it looks like 12-14 weeks which I am fine with as I've wanted I ordered a V6 with the 051A pkg with spoiler delete A/T and of course Magnetic Gray Metallic . I have to say I'm like a kid, I'm so excited!! I'm very lucky and have a great wife who is really supportive of this and we got a bit better than X plan and tire 1 pricing for the lease . My Ford Dealer was fantastic as was my salesman .
