X-Plan is helpful when stacked with the $750 coupon that Ford sometimes includes in Marketing Materials and with end of year rebates. By using X-Plan dealers are limited to $100 for documentation fees. Crappy dealers may see you are saving a bunch of money with rebates and coupons so up their DOC fee to make a few extra bucks. X-Plan prevents them from doing that so you get the best deal.

Keep in mind .. during year end there may be extra Dealer Holdbacks to move inventory and it is quite possible to get a BETTER price than the X-Plan price.
