Will 5.0 still be available

Do we know for sure that a 5.0 will be available?
Heaven forbid that the USA economy and politics make this an engine of the past
Anybody have insight on how long this engine will be around

But it wouldnt be the first time they threw us a curve ball. Hell, look at the rear end of car

Talking

I am taking no chances on the future. I am going to try an get a 5.0 as soon as I can. I can always trade the 5.0 on a newer model. Why wait ?

Sometimes the news is so bad about our govt and the world situation one can only see doom and more govt interference with our lives

Oh yeah. Perhaps as a more limited option, with direct injection and whatever else to keep it clean, efficient and peppy, but yeah, it ain't going nowhere.

You will probably see a turbo four as a base motor and perhaps the TT3.5 V6 as the base/optional GT motor to raise fuel mileage and decrease emissions. Also, the NextStang will likely be lighter and sleeker, raising both performance and efficiency together.

5.0 will be there, it will most likely be in its DISI version though to cut on emmisions and fuel economy..

The 5.0 will be around for a long time. But, I was told prior to its release, that it will be the last V8 in the Mustang. But, then again, things change daily at Ford - lol

I actually see a future for smaller V8's. Technology is a wonderful thing!

I don't see the V8 going away.
Smaller ... yes...
Going away, not anytime soon.

And why does everyone just assume it'll have DI...

There has been talk of a 400 hp V6 Ecoboost that is in the works. Maybe Ford is going to make this an option alongside of the 5.0. I dont see them getting rid of the Coyote V8 anytime soon.

Because if you read the Tech article on development, this motor was designed for DI.. they didnt have enought time in the 2 year development to perfect it and said it would be released at a later date..
