when will we learn the curb weight?
As long as there is no ZL-1 or similarly high powered Camaro they can save a lot of weight. If GM plans on using the LT1 and has any plans to continue producing the ZL-1 then you wont see a whole heck of a lot of weight savings even with alpha.
A car that has a metric crap ton of power and acceptable NVH characteristics that real people can afford will not be exceptionally light.
The new Corvette for example despite its extensive use of aluminum and composite technologies from the brakes to the body is actually heavier than its more mundane predecessor.
Another thing to consider is that these are global cars and they not only have to pass stringent domestic standards but the standards of the places they will be selling in even if that includes a frontal side impact with a fully laden yak at speed.
It not changing people **** and the car might be heavier if is was really 200 pounds less they would have told the whole **** world to hype the car up more trust me on that
