What will 2015 Mustang cost in foreign markets ?

I'm anxiously waiting for Ford to announce how much the 2015 Mustang will cost. I've heard and read the rumors and educated guesses the thinking is the basic 2015 Mustang will start at about $ 27K in the U.S. Will Ford use basic conversion rates for respective foreign countries i.e. Germany, England and Australia ? Lets say Ford prices the 4 cly-EB Stang in the U.S. at around 27K then that translates to about € 21K in Europe. That would be, IMO, a very good price in lets say Germany. However, I get the feeling that it won't be that simple. Me thinks the price for the 4cyl-EB Stang will start are around € 27K. I hope I'm wrong. However, at the current exchange rate that is almost $ 37K which would probably get you close to getting a 2015 Mustang GT in the states.

From what I've read the V6 Mustang will be the base vehicle. The base price should not be too much more than the 2014 MY. Too much of a price increase could kill sales.

Your obviously going to see a bump over straight euro conversion rate. The whole transatlantic shipment and such.

Yeh so I'm anticipating between € 27K - € 30K here in Germany. Hope I'm on the high side but practicially everything in Germany is expensive. Ford is hoping for 10% sales overseas and a high entry level Mustang price can kill that goal in many overseas markets. Another point brought to my attention is insurance costs here in Germany. I've been told to "expect" the premiums for 4 cyl-EB 2015 Mustang to be higher than anticipated due to insurance companies will consider the Mustang to be a sports car in the same catagory as the Porsche 911. If that turns out to be be true then that could kill sales for Ford also.

I think it will be more than that. Europe has a VAT tax as well as other foreign markets. Bae Mustangs in Japan start at ¥4500000 or $45000US.

Last summer I checked in Poland how much a Euro Camaro version goes for, basic with no option SS after conversion to US Dollars , it came out to almost 79,000$.

So yea, a V8 is for the rich, the v4 will be for..... not the rich but still I bet you will have to be high-middle-low rich class.

I was at my Ford dealer yesterday and I asked the salesman what does he think the 2015 Mustang will cost here in Germany. His "guess", the 4cyl-EB Mustang will cost between €30K - €40K. He seemed pretty sure not under €30K. €30K-€40K is a large spread I think. He said the V6 will cost at least € 35K however, to my understanding , the V6 will not be offered here in europe. Only the 4cyl EB and V8.

You know whats funny is how much cheaper cars are here than in Europe or pretty much anywhere else in the world. My in laws in Japan almost took a dump when they found out I had a 2013 M3, a car that costs over $150K US in Japan, they thought I was nuts. Even in Europe, BMW, Mercedes and other brands are cheaper here than in their own country.

The only US Build BMWs are the X3, X5 and the Z cars. The BMW M3 is built in Germany.
