Well, this is kind of sad-2018 Mustang edition

While I wouldn't have a need for that feature currently, I can see uses for it. If you lived in an apartment complex and worked an odd shift, it would allow you to come and go without pissing everyone off. Just kill the mute when you get out of the complex.

In theory, I like the idea, but in practice, I drive my car daily in winter on salted roads, and I'm skeptical about how well that system would hold up to the kind of corrosion it would have to endure.

I wouldn't mind this feature. I always try to be as kind and courteous to my neighbors. It always helps relationships in the long run. I've been in my house for 6 years, and after 2 weeks after I moved in, the neighbor across the street came over to introduce himself. First thing he said, "Your car sounds good. My son is jealous."
Would be cool to have a geofence option. If it's within a 1/4 mile of house, turn it on. If I ever need to rev my engine for whatever reason to listen for issues, I always go to the Lowes parking lot down the road.
