In both cases the S197 wins. No surprises there I suppose. But after all the ecoboost hype? Oooutch

Makes me feel pretty good about my recent purchase!! Although that eco-boost will respond well with mods, unfortunately the warranty will be voided with the slightest of mods. I have to say, I like the new mustang for different reasons than my 2014, but I wouldn't say I like it more. Thanks, AM for those informative video's!!!
The manual ecoboost ran 13.8 the first run against the ecoboost automatic. Then the manual ecoboost ran 15.00 against the s197 V6 which ran 14.50. So basically if the s197 v6 ran against the ecoboost the first run when it ran the 13.8 would it be,"the ecoboost spanked the s197 V6"? C'mon guys

Track conditions may have changed, it didn't look liked they spun the tires and they would have mentioned a miss shift. So I have to conclude that they ran what they ran and actually it looked like the 2015 took off first and was ahead until the v6 reeled him in for the win.

The lower time was a manual, against the V6 was an auto. With the Ecoboost losing power FAST after 5k rpm, I wonder if the auto was still taking it to redline. I bet the manual was quicker because the driver was shifting at the top of the power band and not at redline.
So IF you pick the better run of the EB auto you get 14.3. The V6 auto only got one run, and that's the one where it spanked the EB. but IF you compare EB auto's best time you get a 14.3.vs. 14.5. I think AT BEST the stock EB is even with the V6. Not very impressive either way.

I'd like to see EB manual vs V6 manual. I think it would be quite even.
P.S. zeroto60times has a 2013 V6 premium running a quarter in 13.7

There's still more variables to consider, like rear gears. That V6 looked like a rental, so it for sure has the 2.73s. Put a 3.31 V6 up against a 3.31 EB and see what happens...
How are you future 15' owners feeling right about now? I thought this new Stang was going to be 200lbs lighter with 450hp and rape a corvette with its irs and consume the cowmaro with bolts of lightning from its ars loool! I would bet the remaining 14's are going to sell fast after this hahahahahaha!
I'm with Joey on this one. The 13.8 was EB manual, and the V6 was auto. So they ran Auto EV versus Auto V6, and the V6 won fair and square. So IF you pick the better run of the EB auto you get 14.3. Yes sir. I agree that EB has more room to grow so to say, but at your own risk. In terms of stock cars, the S197's beat their counterparts. I guess the S550 is too heavy compared to the power gain. Too bad. Maybe in Model Year 2017 this will change. But for now, I'm soooo glad I bought a 2014 instead of a 2015. And now not just because of looks!

Yikes...
Go V6!!
I realize that there is more power on the table from pretty much any boosted stock motor...but they're already asking a lot from a relatively tiny set of four cylinders. How far can they really take it? 400+hp is probably not a formula for a long life from a motor of this size...but I hope to be proven wrong.
How does the S550 V6 compare so that we're not just looking at the weight disadantage holding back the '15?
