Sneak peek for Christmas?
The Mustang News seem to think so........

Concept car at Detroit? It'd fit with other Mustang concept timings AND it would steal some of the thunder from the C7 Corvette launch.
I'm not holding my breath though.

Ford hasn't said one way or the other, but I agree with The Mustang News chain of logic. I think odds are better than 50/50 that a concept car will be shown this upcoming season.

From what I was told there will not be a concept before the production version...they are gonna try their best to keep it under wraps until April of 2014. May have a first run of 2014 1/2 editions.
There will of course be the monthly spy shots starting this cold weather testing period. And throughout 2013 we will get some glimse of the overall shape. But again they are strongly trying to keep it hidden until the Anniversary.
Notice that the Corvette is still rolling around with camo and it launches in 3 months. If only Jalopnik didn't have someone sit in front of it for a half an hour and sketch a perfect image it would be hard to tell the look. But I'm sure Ford will go through the same thing. The car will have to be in the hands of many suppliers before launch. So maybe Hot Wheels wil be our first sneak peek.

If the Corvette really does look like the Jalopnik renderings, they may be better off leaving those covers ON the car
Yeah, I figured TheMustangNews were just going on assumptions rather than any hard facts.
Still, I'm looking forward to the months and months of spyshots

I wouldn't be surprised to see a "concept" if the design shift is going to be significant. It would certainly get me to bring some canned goods to the auto show this year.

Looking at their last two concepts and their production counterparts (Vertrek/Escape and Evos/Fusion), there wasn't much time between concept unveil and production reveal. If Mustang is slated for NY2014, Detroit or Chicago 2014 could be a place to see a potential successor with cues from the production car.

After reading the numerous threads and articles on the 2015, I am astonished no one has hacked into Ford and simply stolen the information; after all, the DoD can't protect Top Secret information from an autistic kid in England, who spent a year "looking" around the Pentagon. Maybe they should contract out to Ford, who seems to have no problem at all protecting the information on the 2015. Just thinkin....

Good on Ford for protecting their secrets!! I'm proud of them, and would be honored to work for them. (Gotta throw that our there in case anyone is watching. )
If only the US Govt would adopt this mentality...

I'm really surprised there's no leaks from suppliers. At least a dash pad, door handle, headlight lens...something! Look at the Apple leaks! The entire devices are leaked by their suppliers months ahead of reveal...I realize it might be easier to track down the leak and seek legal action, if the part suppliers are American, but still!
