Shifter Setup
Just wanted to share my shifter setup for my S550. I am not a fan at all of how the new S550's go into reverse with the lifting of the shifter ****. I decided to go back to how the S197's do it. Thankfully MGW utilizes that design. I used to have a '14 GT with the 401A package and loved the aluminum **** in that package so thanks to a forum member here I was able to purchase that from him (thanks ICEKNYGHT!). I purchased a new shifter boot as well since it was the opportune time. Here's the end result. I know...nothing special but I wanted to go with the factory look.

Very nice! I had that shifter on my 2011 and loved it. I have a 2017 on order and would like to do what you did. I didn't have the interior upgrade package, but I got the boot and shifter **** and had the dealer put it on the car before I even took delivery of it.
Please provide me with more details. What is the part number for the Boot? Is that a boot from a 2015-2016, or from a 2010-2014. What about the MGW shifter setup? What is the part number or model number for that?
Thanks,
Tony

If you buy a 2015-up Shifter and **** from MGW, it will come with an adapter so you can use the stock shift boot ... nothing else to buy.
Go on their site and check it out ... they have both cue-ball style ***** with various marking options as well as a weighted **** that rubber wrapped with a silver shift insert in the top (various insert options).
Stock shifter in my 2016 EB seems better than my 2011 was. But, this is the way I'm going eventually as I also prefer the push down for reverse and want the shifter mounted on the trans instead of the floor.

I purchased this boot from American Muscle here: http://www.americanmuscle.com/2015-m...ift-*****.html
The MGW shifter i got here: https://www.mgwshifters.com/shifters/mustangs/103
The **** I actually purchased from someone on the forum, but I had to glue the new boot onto the existing trim and onto the new shifter **** ring to make it work. I used some contact cement from Walmart to do that. I had to drill out the plastic rivets on the factory trim that connects to the center console and take off the factory boot in order to reuse the trim. It seems very complicated but it really wasn't I wish I had pics to show you, but you can basically follow what this installation guide does. http://www.steeda.com/index.php?disp...achment_id=536
That install guide is a PDF I'm not sure if the link will work. Hope this helps!
