For those with the Automatic I have a question about the remote start.
When you remote start it, does the fob have any indication of whether it actually worked or not?
On our 2012 Explorer you just hit the button and hope. Half the time it doesn't actually remote start. I've heard some of the Ford remote start systems will indicate success or failure with a blinking LED. Just curious if the Mustang gets this feature.

 

it has small light that blinks, but it only works 5/10 times. i stopped using it long time.

 

Mine doesn't give an indication on the fob (2014 Mustang). The light goes off, but I think it just means it sent the signal, not that it was received. I have to be close enough to hear the horn or see the lights. It doesn't seem to have that much range anyway, so I usually am that close.


If you look at the link below, I have the cheaper "one button" version. However it looks like there is also a bidirectional one that flashes a green light and makes a noise to let you know the car started.

It's still a good feature; I can start the car in the driveway when it's really cold out.

 

I do know if you remote start it more then 2 times in an hour it will not work until the hour resets.

 

With the 2015 there is a little light on the top of the remote. If the remote start worked it blinks green if it did not then it blinks red.


Love mine, it works about 95% of the time, depending on how far you are from the car and what's in the way of the signal. And an added bonus my co workers, friends, and family are so jealous.
