If the 2014 Ruby Red is the same as the GM Ruby Red, it looks very purple at night under street lights.

 

Purple, Deep Violet and/or Mystichrome...yes, yes, yes!!! Sonic or Kona or Deep Impact Blue, all beautiful! I just bought a 2007 Tacoma 4x4 DblCab 6M TRD Sport "winter beater" that is Black Sand Pearl i.e. metallic black...Tuxedo Black would be amazing on a new Mustang. I've also seen an F-150 in Green Gem which is very rare (but a gorgeous colour in person) that I'd love to see on a Mustang.

Will they PLEASE retire Sterling Grey? What a boring, bland colour...I don't understand the love it gets on here. Forty percent of the Rangers and F-150s in my town are Sterling Gray...so common and unremarkable. It's a colour you choose for an appliance, not for a car.

Euhhhhh, i don't see why such hate on a such a nice classic color. Just like black, SG is for those that don't want to draw too much attention with their ride yet at the same time own a piece of muscle car history.

Was Googling Deep Violet Clear Coat Metallic (the color of my 97GT) and seen this thread and low and behold, someone shared my picture. So I read farther and it says the above. LOL

Don't doubt you have one, but this one is not yours 97GT03SVT.

I shot that pic in my parents driveway. I had just pulled it out of storage and had it towed there with a broken piston and rod. I swapped in a 2004 aluminum block PI (they came in 04 Explorers, save 90lbs) in that gravel driveway. It was a real PITA.

Those are two of the best colors ford has put out imho.

 

My wife's Ruby Red Escape never looked anything but red.

 

I just hope they come back out with Deep Violet like the 96-97 Mustangs had. Then I'd have to buy one.
