Possible Job#1 date for 2015 Mustang
Hey everyone, I have some new news on the timing for the new car. We had our monthly wholesale meeting this past week and with that, I "believe" I have the tentative Job#1 date for the new car, and the balance out date for the current car. The balance out for 2014s is slated for June 20th. This date is probably the last day to order one (but I would put orders in much sooner than this, to be safe, if you want a 2014).
For the new car, the date shown to me, was August 11th, 2014. I know its a long way off, but it does jive with Ford's "late 2014" date shown on the website. This date can change, and be sooner or later. I'm just reporting what I saw on the sheet they had. If the date sticks, the cars will be held, until they are PERFECT (believe me, they are not shipping these until they are beyond perfect).
I expect the cars to show up on dealer lots sometime in September. And this is also figuring if they will be holding stock dealer orders before they even build retail orders (same process they did back in 2011 for the 5.0 launch). They do this as to not hold up retail orders that are built but sitting around waiting for the "OK to Ship" order given, and customers aren't waiting for their cars.
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask. Again, this is a date that can absolutely change, but its the info I got and I wanted to forward it to everyone on the boards. Thanks for reading everyone!!

So I take that if a person orders theirs (sold order) through a dealer their order is given priority over a dealers order just for their stock (unsold order)? Or is it the other way around. Thanks in advance.

Good to see Ford is going back to the traditional car release date (late sept early oct) always thought it was rather silly releasing a next years model in the spring of the current year...
ps: your heading has a typo "Musang"

This way, if there is a need to stop the line or hold cars that are built, they won't be holding up built retail orders that customers ordered. Holding stock orders for the dealer lots is more tolerable than cars that customers actually ordered for themselves.
Plus doing it this way makes sure that any early issues are caught before retail orders are produced. Just gotta see if they will let dealers have unlimited allocation for retail orders like they did last time for the 5.0 launch.
I hope they do, because if they do, then I can announce my pricing deal for forum members who want to order cars from me. Its gonna be a pretty decent deal. Again, this only works if they have Retail Order Verification for me. Time will tell.
