Next Bullitt?

I agree, the tribar looks a little weird here. Plain pony looks better. I'm guessing the tribar will be on V6s and the plain pony on 2.3 cars?

Not even sure how the Bullitt talk started on this one. It isn't in Dark Highland green, doesn't have the GT hood heat extractors and also lacks Bullitt style rims. Doubt it would even have a pony logo at the back and doesn't have any change to the ride height that I can make out.

Looks nothing like a Bullitt IMO. The new body style doesn't work for another Bullitt remake, neither did the 2001. I still have no idea why that car is called a Bullitt. They look nothing alike whatsoever.

I think it would make a Great Looking Bullitt...
Loose the Pony in the Grill, Add the Louvered Quarter Windows from the Anniversary Package with the GT's Heat Extractor Hood, and Done Deal!
Even these Wheels are Very Bullitt/Torque Thrust like...
Of course it would have to be Dark Highland Green... Guard is not Dark Enough or Green Enough.

A Man Just Needs Some....
Yep. Me too. Pull the horses off and I'm calling it close enough. Seems like there's a lot of hate going on about the purity of the Bullitt nameplate. Strip the body. Black grill and rear plate. Torque thrust type wheels. Green. = Bullitt.
Nothing special just homage to one of the coolest movie mustangs. At least there's not a God awful Eleanor edition.

I'm betting someone within ford also realized the resemblance this car has to the bullitts and that this was all at least partially planned. The interesting thing is though, now instead of a select few of us getting our hands on a "special edition" bullitts, anyone can build one. It allows the fun of having ties to a movie car to reach way more of the consumers.
In this way ford gets all of the pros of building an SE like popularity and movie recognition but none of the downsides like forcing a cost premium and limiting production. This also means that there's just a bit more of a chance for a casual purchaser to become more aligned with the enthusiast interests. More enthusiasts means more free advertising. And plus for all the folks that liked the bullitts SE in principle but didn't want green they can now get something similar. I kind of like this idea because Frank's car was just a GT390 after all, not a wholly special model.
Finally, I really dig that tribar this is exactly the sort of model I'd want among the new lineup.
