Headed to the dealer to order the bride's 2018

The deal is struck, and to me it was a good one. With the dealer discount, and rebates it came to nearly 7K off the MSRP.

Final stats,

Ruby Red GT Convertible
Tan interior
Spoiler delete
Automatic
Safe and Smart package
Premium HD radio
Navigation
20" wheels

She wants to hear the Active valve exhaust before she decides on that. Of course I would order it in a skinny minute, but it's her car. You know it's true, when momma's happy we all be happy.

Made the deal today. The dealer was quite gracious on the trade-in value of the '13, and he threw in the all weather floor mats for free. And, we decided to add the active exhaust. I mean, what the heck, after 50K it doesn't make a whole lot of difference. And I though, if I didn't like the standard exhaust it would cost more to go aftermarket. My apologies to the late Tom Petty, "the waiting is the hardest part".

Jim, I'm glad everything worked out well on the trade in towards the wife's new Ruby Red GT vert. IMO with the dealer discounts and rebates totaling 7k off MSRP plus your trade-in value, you definitely got one heck of a deal for sure.

In the meantime, congrats to you both

Thanks Rocky, we've been buying from this dealer (Hilbish Ford, Kannapolis, NC) for 30 years. I sent bids out to six different dealers in my area, and was quite surprised they gave me the best deal. And, they didn't even know it was me. Of course when I went in they all knew what was up, and of course the trade-in negotiations went very smooth since I bought her '13 new from them.

Jim, a good dealer will always provide their customers with the best deal possible as a sign of showing their appreciation along with hoping to earn their business as repeat customers when the time finally comes to purchase another new vehicle. That being said, I've stayed with the very same dealer for nearly the past 8 years for that exact reason, as they've treated me as a valued customer that has indeed earned my business as a direct result

True my friend. And another plus, if I need any warranty work I just tell the service writer what it needs. They write it up no questions ask. They know I wouldn't tell them anything wrong. And Hilbish has a great service department also.
