2018 Mustang Order Bank Opens?????

Anyone know when the order bank opens for the 2018 Mustang? See that it'll be available in the fall. Is that when the order bank opens? Seems a little late for that to happen. Any info on this anywhere?

Haven't seen a definitive date. Tooling Trials were suppose to have started in March according to some BON members . . http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums...n-information/

Thanks for the info Evil Capri! I thought there would be some info on this by now. By the time the 18MY comes to the dealers it'll almost be winter. Certainly not Mustang selling season.

Anxious to build it & see what it will cost for all the goodies I'd want!!! Also if it has the 470HP & 455TQ I think it will have should be a fun car. My 11 will be out of warranty this June SOOO! Still partial to my 11 but may make the leap if I decide I like the 18MY. We'll see might end up building the 11 & wait for the 2021MY.

Well I hope it opens soon - with the unsold 2017's piling up on dealer lots or not!
Many good things in store for those who are waiting - but December delivery will be a Killer!
If I can't get a Fall delivery - then I'll be buying something else!
TRUTH !!

Best of luck!! I really hope you can get one in time.

It seems that delays are common with new car/refresh releases. When I ordered my 2011 GT (in May, 2010) the car arrived almost exactly 12 weeks later, **** near a month later than the two month estimate. My delay was worse than most but certainly not unique. FWIW, I didn't pay too much attention to how long guys waited for the 13s or the 15s but I wouldn't be surprised if they saw a delay of some kind.

My hunch: if they're saying "fall" availability, there's a very good chance that a few will trickle out in November and many customers may not see them until the very end of the year.

Assuming the improvements that we've been drooling over amount to something in real world testing, my plan will be to order it in late January and take delivery in the spring.

Then promptly trade it in when the 2021 Challenger refresh comes along, at 500lbs lighter.

I have a real concern that dealers will low ball my Corvette trade - if I have to wait until late Fall to order the new 2018.
They know it is going to sit on someone's lot over the entire Canadian winter.
It was April 2011 when I ordered it - & at the time they offered to sweetened the deal if I dropped off my 05 Stang with them right away.
I did & then drove my winter beater until the car came in 10 weeks later.

The more I think about it, the more I want the '18. I plan on ordering one optioned my way but I want to see certain colors on a 'vert in person, and especially need to hear the new interactive exhaust. A possible PP, black out package, and other toys might get checked off on the order sheet. I figure I'd pull the trigger in Dec or Jan and keep my fingers X'd that it's delivered in time for car season in the late Spring. Can't wait to see Orange Fury, but after viewing numerous pics of Royal Crimson my heart is starting to pitter patter.
