Full 2015 Model pricing
Direct injection was said to add $50 per engine. So it was shelved until later. My guess is when the '16 Camaro comes out and the 5.3 truck engine gets another power bump. They just don't want F150's taking the 5.0 over the 3.5 or now 2.7. When those get a mileage bump, then we'll see the direct injected 5.0. Dirty valves and all. Cleaning the heads isn't the end of the world maintenance-wise, but it would be about $1500-$2000 every 75k-100k miles if the dealer can do it with removal and chemicals.
Actually you the one that is intimidated by the sophistication IRS because the closest you have come to driving something with IRS is riding a horse. SRA never stopped me from owning a Mustang, you on the other hand…
[QUOTE=IndustryLeech;6805399... All-new 2.3-liter EcoBoost, producing more than 305 horsepower and 300 lb.-ft. of torque and with projected class-leading fuel efficiency...[/QUOTE]
Are they still rating fuel economy at 55MPH? I can assure you our 1.6L EcoBoost Escape has never seen anything near the advertised highway economy at current-day 65-70 MPH speed limits. And by 'nowhere near' I mean 7 MPG or so off. And in cold weather in extended highway driving, down another 3 or 4.
I know folks aren't buying a Mustang for fuel economy... I'm just sayin'.

Except I'm a breeder not a rider. So where did the looney $5 grand statement come from Mr. Brilliant driver??
No where near as bad as I thought it would be. Now for the really tough questions. Is it an overweight Draft horse or a thoroughbred. How much horsepower will be on tap and are all of the suspension improvements enough to justify trading my beloved GHIG Track Pack car.
I bought a new 2014 GT with track pack and a hose of other options. My first choice was a Challenger SRT8. The Mustang won for two reasons.
One it is just as quite inside.
The other is that it has a live axle.
The Challenger is based on a Mercedes E class chassis and suspension. They have been building IRS for years. Well guess what? They are breaking axle shafts left and right. So the Mustang One.

Performance driving and racing. I am on most of the Challenger forums and IRS for Drag racing not so good..
If you get the car to hook up its even worse. The Manuals are the ones with most of the issues. Best Suggestion so fare is after market Axles.
Supposedly the 2016 Challenger Hell cat will have this solved. Automatic 8 speed and beefed up axles. Will See.
There is pros and cons for both.
