Front Camera

With the nose so low, I'm thinking it would be nice to add a front mounted camera to help get close to curbs without crunching things.

Anyone considered it?

Yep. Do you have navigation or a rear camera?

I'm going to do it once I get my LockPick.

All '15s have rear cameras already. It shouldn't be to hard to add one up front.

I do have Nav and a rear camera. Does the system have provisions to add a camera? If so how easy is it to connect?

No. You need a LockPick or other similar device. Do a quick search on them, they allow you to use your Nav while driving too.

No, not easy. I asked because I wouldn't even bother without the Nav screen. Since you have a rear camera then as said previously you would need the Lockpick or NavTV.

The shop I use prefers NavTV. They want about $1k for the job. The front camera is activated by the radio power button (pressed twice I think). I haven't done this job due to the cost; instead if I am afraid I might hit the block/curb I back in.

The Lockpick job would be cheaper. Lockpick just looks "hacky" to me though.

Regarding that front sensor from AM, I have heard complaints of it activating whilst navigating sudden changes in street grade as well. I would prefer manual control on the front camera / sensor.
