Ford Emblem now on the new Mustang

Was at the Ford dealer yesterday looking at a 2015 GT Premium. There is a big FORD logo in the middle of the windshield (behind the rear view mirror). This is where the running horse logo has traditionally been placed.

Really a bit of trivia, but there has been no ford logo on the mustang for several years. Not sure when they started that tradition - but it has ended with the 2015 Mustang.

Actually, the salesman said there was a bit of controversy about this when Ford started demo'ing the cars for the dealerships. Lots of surprised mustang fans.

S197's run (2005-2014) didn't have the badge on the body, but they did, depending on the wheels, have it on the wheel caps.

Ford couldn't not have the logo *somewhere*, ya know...

Edit: Did a little checking just to be sure... Looks like, I think, for whatever reason, the 2013-14 do not have a Ford emblem on them at all, even on the wheel caps, available. So those years only, looks like. 2012 and back all have at least the wheel caps as a possible.

My 2008 with the alloy fan blades does not have a Ford logo. The center caps are mustangs.

He said it's possible. The standard Bullitts on the GT has Ford logo center caps. Some of the V6 wheels did too.

The Ford emblem is on my 2014. Though whether this counts or not is up for debate.
The Ford logo is on the Flat Rock Assembly union-made sticker they put in the rear quarter window.

Correct, but again, it depends. Bullitt rims got the Ford emblem, for example. Others didn't. It was only until the 13s and 14s did they stop with the Ford oval caps.

Our 11 V6 Premium Vert had the Ford emblem on the center caps of the wheels. The faux gas cap also has the word Ford on it, but not the emblem.

All V-6 - GT- GT/CS and GT500 models since 2005, had Ford on their faux gas cap..

My previous 05 GT and current 06 GT also had the Ford logo on the wheel caps !

While detailing mine the other day, I found the Ford oval stamped on the lips of the inner fenders.

The Ford logo displays prominently on the screen for those of us with the Electronics Package.

I dont know about that being 100% correct, my `05 Redfire GT with Gray Bullitt`s came with the pony tri-bar center caps from the factory. I noticed in later years they came with the ford emblem ones. Who knows... Maybe it was just a case of whatever was in stock at the time of assembly?

The funny thing is on the GT they came with Ford emblems, but on the V6 Pony Package they came with tribars...

Did you buy your car new?

No... but I was there the day it came home from the dealership

My sister bought it new when the first came out in 2004..... Like a christmas day puppy it set around unwanted after about 6 weeks, and I took over the loan about 6 months later when she got tired of making the payments.

So those caps came definately from the factory

My '79 Cobra had "FORD" on the hatch back. Since these cars are being sold overseas, officially, I think Ford wants to make sure everyone knows it is a Ford. Just a thought.
