Forced induction talk

So with the newer internals of the 5.0 i have to admit this car is looking a bit tastier as time goes on with more and more companies releasing their forced induction options.

Especially Hellion.. I didn't see any postings of the car they took to SEMA but just looked at their site.

On stock internals 750rwhp? HOLY CRAP.

Might have to pick up a base GT next spring and twin turbo it!

the Coyote engine was great but it just seems to be getting better.

I've always considered SC my car, but never pulled the trigger.

This car I'd REALLY consider charging right from the purchase.
Even the FRPP is over 600 on a conservative tune.

Is it bad that in this day/age that we think 600 is on the low end.....

I wouldn't call it bad its just funny to think that 600 is low end lol. 10 years ago something like that would have been laughed at. Now a days we have factory cars coming with 707hp. Other private companies getting 700-800 on stock engines.

So the Coyote in the 2015's comes with Boss springs and valves, forged crank... what else?
It doesn't have forged Pistons like the Boss did, but I'm trying to narrow down what the difference is between the 14 and 15 Coyotes.

The 13-14 Coyotes had forged crank and connecting rods. What else does the 2015 come with?

Thanks for the link. So according to this I don't see anything forged in the new 5.0 that my Coyote doesn't have already ...

I know the cylinder heads, valves, valve springs and charge motion controls are new, but the Coyote in my 2014 already had forged connecting rods and a forged crank plus an oil cooler. So I'm not sure why the new motor would be more suited for forced induction compared to the outgoing version. Is there more forged components the site doesn't mention? I thought there were...

I know than with larger intake/exhaust vales you can pump more air into the motor, but I imagine this just means that per PSI of boost the new motor will make a little more power than the outgoing motor. But I don't see why it would have any more longevity is SC/Turbo applications.

What do you guys think?

I believe the rods are a significant change...no? The new version has forged pieces whereas the older version had something like cardboard, IIRC.

All I know is that if/when my current motor pops, the replacement motor will inevitably be better and stronger.

They have a better design on the crank as well for higher Revs and the internals are ,even they where forged before ,now are forged but yet not the same internals where used
