I know Ford is trying to ditch the retro theme, but am I the only one who thinks the faux gas cap would look much better than the plain looking "GT" emblem on the rear decklid? I think that's one of the first mods I would do if I were going to get a 2015. I think it would make it look more like a Mustang from the rear.

 

Yeah, I think the pony looks ok on its own, but the GT to me looks a bit lonley.

Maybe something the aftermarket can take advantage of.

 

One can only imagine that variations for the rear decklid, including faux caps and all manner of emblems, will be popular aftermarket items. That area's quite a canvas

 

I totally agree, I do not like the GT badge on the rear. I actually much prefer the running horse.

 

I think it looks fine. This is a redesign. Let it be redesigned. I wouldn't be into faux cap adds to the back. Just buy a 13/14

 

I like the GT emblem on the back. It looks purposeful , like it says all it has to say. Real business like and it means business. No ***** footing around.

My 2004 does not have a faux cap.

Please no more fake gas cap. I have a '13 and i wish i had the plain decklid with only the running pony like these new '15s. I kinda see what you mean about the GT logo though. But as for the pony, i think its perfection!!

 

I have a 12' and the biggest eye soar to our car is that thing. I've looked at taking it off and just having the GT emblem. There's several different ways out there that guys got rid of this eye soar. I just haven't pulled the trigger on which way to go because if you get in a hurry you can screw up the paint and emblem.

 

I don't know if the faux gas cap is the solution even if I find the lonely "GT" a bit wanting. Worth exploring via photoshop to be sure. I'd also like to see what it would look like with a big "5.0" badge there instead.

 

I'm sure you will see plenty of bull**** replacing that thing. Transformer logos and Calvin stickers, it's gonna get obnoxious

 

I think it would look better if the GT logo was on the bottom left instead of in the middle. Maybe if we see an SVT Cobra they will do that. Either that or just remove it all together.

 

It looks much more finished with the pony on the rear, instead of the GT.

I think a CDC style panel with the GT logo bottom - right would look nice.

 

I am surprized it does not have a digital screen back there so you can taunt or socialize with whoever is behind you. That's a joke btw. Don't get any idea's!

I do kinda like the GT in the center though - it reminds me of Porsche (maybe another nod to Ford targeting the 911 for this GT)...

I think it would look good if it has the running pony in the middle and a smaller GT badge on the bottom passenger side. Maybe a 5.0 badge whichever looks better
