Different Lower Grills Explained
Different Lower Grills Explained
I believe I have solved a mystery that no one has been able to answer Yet, Why We have Seen Different Lower Grills on both GT's and Eco-Boost cars.
All Mustangs with the Adaptive Cruise Control will get the Lower Grill like the one we've seen on the 50th Anniversary with the Horizontal Bar and Blanked Off Outer Ends which is where the Radar/Sensors are located.

Mustangs without Adaptive Cruise Control will recieve Model Specific Lower Grills.
GT's will get the Honeycomb Grill with the "Fangs" continuing in the Lower Grill like this...

Eco-Boost and V-6 Models will get the "Wavy" Honeycomb Lower Grill to match the Upper.

Is it me, or are all the front bumper covers the same in all cases?
If so, then the wavy V6/Ecoboost ones will plug right in to the GT one, right?
If I were gettin' a '15, I'd get the GT, but it would have to have the wavy grille in it. Much better, ya ask me.
But them, I'm off center from just about everyone.

I Love the Wavy Honeycomb too. Luckily I'm going for the Eco-Boost without Adaptive Cruise so I'd get the Wavy Upper and Lower Grills anyway, unless I go for the Anniversary Appearance Pkg for the Interior. Then I'd have to Swap the Grills because I Do Not Like the Coral Grill.

Yep. We traded our 2013 Edge for a 2014 Edge that has the adaptive cruise control. It has a solid place on the lower grill (drivers side) that says ACC
. Its cool using it, it will apply the brakes itself if a car is too close in front.

I think this is jumping the gun a bit. You've got little data outside of a few pictures, and there's no telling which options the cars actually have. Keep in mind, you've looked at pre-production vehicles. I'd say we wait until these show up on lots before we can definitively claim to know the truth.
