Beautiful color. My second choice, but the dealers around here, one in each town, have no imagination. Blue, Yellow, White and the Magnetic Metallic I bought. I had to drive 40 miles to a small town, as the big dealer, in the city closest to me ( 15 miles), still had not received any 2015's. I also wanted something besides Black for the interior, and was surprised this dealer had ordered the car with the Saddle interior. Enjoy the ride!!

I agree about the dealers having everyday BORING cars on the lot. I can't even find one within 50 miles to see what the Ceramic interior looks like in person. It won't get any better here in Michigan, during the winter most dealers keep a VERY low stock of Mustangs until spring. Scott

 

I really like this color of orange, esp with the black rims. It's a soft orange and looks racy instead of taxi-cabbish. Thanks for a great color option Ford.

 

Hey, your lucky.... up here in Anchorage, AK they're not even GETTING any Mustangs in until June. I'm moving back to Missouri next year and ordering a new Stang 2 months before I do. I'm tired of driving trucks.

Here is a bit of info for ya...so, if we have minimum 12,221 CO's from 2004, 2012, 2015 and 2016's, ..we are definitely a rare color! Out of 1,300+ members here, and from the beginning of the Registry opening in 2014 to now, we have only 740 registered members!
We can't stress enough why we need to get registered as my goal is to get our Registry recognized by Ford and we can't do that without you!

Here is some info I have been working on...
From my info that I have been able to find...Remember, this isn't counting the overseas or Canada CO's this is only in the U.S. and this is a GUESSITMATE!
In 2004 a total of 141,907 Mustangs were made. Out of that, there were 6,426 - 2004 CO mustangs made out of those numbers and they break down to:
2004 CO Mach 1 made: 1,019
895 V8 - 5 Speed Manual
124 V-8 - Automatic
2004 Cobra Coupes Made: 281
2004 Cobra Convertibles: 72
2004 Total Produced: SVT MUSTANG COBRA: 5,664
Total Coupe Produced:
Competition Orange: 281
Total Convertible Produced:
Competition Orange: 72

• In 2012, a total of 88,064 Ford Mustangs were made and only the Boss 302's were made in Competition Orange for that year, in that color. The numbers are:

In 2015, there were 122,349 - 2015 Ford Mustangs made. They were made in the Competition Orange and also in the 50th year editions. The numbers of CO's made are:
2015 CO's made: 2,281
And, 5,952 50th Anniversary Package altogether. There were 1,964 numbered 50th Editions made in Wimbledon White and Kona Blue. so that leaves 3,988 left to share amongst other colors.
In my research, numbers are not available in depth for how many were made in the color of Competition Orange in the 50th Anniversary Package, although there were less than 2,000 - 50th Anniversary packages made and that does very many for the color since 1,964 was the original number.
In 2016, there were 105,932 Ford Mustangs made. In the color of Competition Orange, 2,122 were only produced. This is a few less than 2015, although the GT350 also shared those numbers.
For the GT350, The rarest Base GT350 show 14 in Competition Orange only. This isn't very many and just shows how rare these numbers and cars really are!
