Boost Works Mustang Says 'Hellcat Who?'
Boost Works' prototype, with the boost only cranked up to around 660 wheel horsepower, is already running low 10s through the quarter mile.

I've been watching their videos on Youtube for the past 3 days now.
They're using that massive 3.2 Mammoth Kenne Bell. These cars are putting out some stupid power and torque. So awesome.

But until Ford itself puts out a 700+hp vehicle that's covered under the 3 year warranty, The FCA boys will still have the better deal. You can't beat a 707hp vehicle fully covered under manufactures warranty. The upcoming GT500 will be Ford's answer to FCA's Challenger Hellcat. I wish Ford would bring back the Marauder with the GT500 engine to rival the Charger Hellcat.

Was thinking the same thing. There are plenty of aftermarket tuner companies and backyard mechanics who can build a Mustang that'll make a Hellcat owner cry like a little baby. But until that Mustang springs directly from the loins of Mother Ford, it's a hollow victory and the point becomes moot.

We have 3 choices,....
1) Roush (Phase 2 and Phase 3 cars.) Expensive
2) Saleen,......expensive
3) Shelby,......expensive
I'd LOVE to own a Hellcat,...the car knows no boundaries to power. The power doesn't die off when hitting redline like other cars do,...it keeps climbing. Serious power and torque.
I'm trying to locate the video where it was dyno'ed at Kenne Bell. They were discussing it in that video.

I'd like to see and read about it please. Thanks!

The Hellcat is built in house and is fully covered under manufactures warranty where as the Super Snake is not !

There are a couple shops, and guys tuning the Hellcat. There are a couple guys in particular whom are supposedly geniuses with these cars, (their names escape me at the moment), but they are putting down some stupid numbers and are almost into the 9's in the quarter mile.

If you go and look at what Arrington and some others are doing with the Gen3 hemi you will find that over 1000 streetable HP is pretty common and I have seen a couple of examples where big displacement hemi's are putting down 2000 HP. I wouldn't call it streetable but these guys do drive them on the street so they can compete in the invatational street car drags.
All it takes is money.

You can't even mess with those Hemis that are done at Arrington. Those are some very nasty machines. I love watching the videos on Youtube. Torque monsters GALORE!
I wonder if Arrington will get into the Hellcat game too. I haven't heard much about them working on Hellcats much. Unless I'm wrong?

What upcoming GT500 are you referring to ? IIRC there are no plans for a S550 GT500, unless your referring to the recent Shelby Super Snake.. However the Super Snake is customized/built thru Shelby Auto's in Vegas and not built in house at Flat Rock..

The rumor mill is hard at work - Clickbait Kin... I mean Horsepower Kings said something awhile back and now Automobile Magazine is saying something about an EcoBoost V6 GT500 using the same mill from the GT.

Just as I suspected ! Another rumor from Horsepower Kings that also started rumors about Ford ending V8 production after the 2017 model year in favor of the EcoBoost V6
