Hasn't VMP or Lethal or some shop already been running a Whipple on a GT 350? Seems like I saw some vids or something about it a while back.

819 rwhp out of that combo, but the car hasn't been raced as far as I know, so if that's a dyno queen that put down that number once and is now just being driven to car shows, that's not much to go by.

"Would sacrifice any pretense of efficiency" to top the 662 hp of the trinity if they used a TT 5.0??? Bc Ford didn't get 650hp from a TT 3.5 v6 or anything.....They could easily beat that number from a 5.0 and be plenty efficient if they wanted to.
"Dark horse effort to usurp the hellcat"??? Ford already said they were gonna beat the hellcats numbers.
What happened to research before writing an article?

That being said. I thought I read that the 18 coyote was the 5.2 block with a 90 degree crank, direct injection, and destroked to 5.0L.
So they could then take that set up and stroke it back to 5.2L and supercharge it.
That theory I do agree with C&D with. But the rest of it makes them sound dumb.

This article is a solid representation of why c&d is a joke most of the time. Most of the stuff in it is illogical speculation that sounds as if it came someone knowing nothing about cars.

Perhaps in a month or so at the New York auto show??

I don't think we'll see it at a show until late this year, or early next. I'm not sure they'd want to reveal it at the same show as the Dodge Demon. Whilst I believe the Demon will be a one-dimensional quarter miler, it's likely to have a HP figure that will top whatever the next halo-stang will have.
I think Ford will let Dodge have their moment in the sunshine........and then release their car at a later date.
And, with all due respect to the Hellcat and Demon, I think the next halo-Stang will be a car that covers all bases.....it'll have a silly-high HP figure, it'll run the 1/4 in a decent time, it'll handle a road course (almost) as good as a GT350.....and still be comfortable enough to handle the daily commute.....much like the ZL1. Only better

I'm almost positive that this new GT500 is going to have more than 750HP.

They teased us with the 455 number on that cluster pic for the GT, and it turned out to be 460.
The tease for the GT500 is 755 since another cluster pic circled with the 7th gear and doing 55mph, so now I'm thinking the 755 will be the minimum.
But it's still all speculation, until Ford announces something.
And once they do, it's gonna sweep the news agencies like wildfire, lol.

Actually, I think it's more HP than the Dodge Demon.

And it's putting down 10.5-11.0 1/4-mile times at 1,000-foot altitude in 88-degree Florida heat.
Far from the advertised 9.65 that apparently happened at about sealevel and in 41-degree temps
