2018(?) refresh speculation

Sales are trailing off it looks like! I really don't think this generation will sell all that well, especially considering its a "global" car. It may outsell the 10-14's, but I don't think the numbers will be that great for a global car.

That wouldn't surprise me, honestly. 2 door coupes are niche vehicles.

I Have No Life
There's a big difference between a refresh and a redesign. We have no idea when the next big platform change is due.
We could see a bunch of small and large sheeetmetal refreshes between then.
If looking at the last gen or 2 is any indication, and Ford a while back came out with saying that 3 years is the time between tweaks, both major and minor.
We'll get 3MY out of the current design, head into a facelift or tweak for 18, and that will last another 2-3 years till a sheetmetal change.
If I was in the market, I'd try to hold off until the 18s show up at this point. It's not really THAT far off.
I don't think the V8 is going anywhere anytime soon. The coyote has a lot of life left in it and I'm sure Ford has learned a lot in its development as well as the Road Runner and Voodoo. I honestly believe though that IF there came a time where we had to lose the 5L for whatever reason, that Ford would find a way to keep the V8 in the GT. It's part of it's DNA. Whether it's some technology or downsizing etc, they will find a way.
Another thing on my mind is the trickle down effect from SEs and SVT/Ford Performance. I'd love to see a TRACK (not performance) but track pack on the GT.
This would compete with the 1LE nicely. And I'd gladly check the boxes on the order form that added 2 features I'd really want from the 350. Magnaride and Active Exhaust. Unless I win the lottery here, I don't think I'll be able to afford a $75k+ GT350 (Canadians get hosed).

Here's my guess:
Styling revisions are a definite
They'll probably drop Grabber Blue (2017's "impact color") in favor of SBY or GHIG
Coyote based (conventional crank) engine increased to 5.2L, DI 465hp.
Magnetic suspension available on GT, Ecoboost
No changes to driveline
No weight reduction
