If something old school is being brought back, make it a foot operated high beam button on the floor!!!!!

 

Fans have been 'clamoring' for the hood mounted turn signals? This is the first i have seen or read anything about the 'hood mounted turn signals'. I like them in a way but, i don't like them in a way

I remember the 79 jeep waggoneer I drove once had that feature. I thought it was super cool.

May only be useful for autos though.

I think he means clutching at the same time you need to dim your highs if your high beam control was on the floor. But there's no difference than if you need to shift and work your high beams from the stalk.

How often does the occasion arise when you have to do both simultaneously?

 

Well more likely than that having the button on the floor might make things a bit crowded with the clutch operation so you may end up hitting the switch while operating the clutch.

My '65 Corvair has the foot operated dimmer switch and is also a manual transmission car. I have never had an issue with the dimmer switch while shifting gears.

 

There's an old joke there, but I can't tell it on a public forum as its not politically correct these days.

 

Had an 84 Jeep CJ-7 with the dimmer on the floor, you won't hit it by accident. Or atleast, I never did. I've been told that some old Lincolns had a floor switch for the radio scan button that was a very rare thing. Dad said he loved convincing the girls from his HS that the car was haunted by ghosts. Ah the 70's!

 

My 1991 F150 with a 5 speed manual has the dimmer switch on the floor, never has been a problem.

 

You are right nothing beats the '07-09 GTCS. The more i see the modern Mustangs on the streets the best looking seem to be the '10-'12.

So that's at least 2 other people who want the GT PP on the AT. Two things Ford could do to get me to trade out my 2014 Track Pack is put the PP on the AT and offer that Liquid Blue color. Everyone write Ford telling them you want the PP with the AT.

I actually kind of like the '13-'14 CS as well but the best looking Mustang to me would be with '13-'14 tail lights and '11-'12 front end and hood. Although the aftermarket options from Roush and Saleen in '13-'14 were pretty good. To each their own though.

I do however agree that the hood mounted turn signal is worthless.

Agree vents are a pain to clean, the louvers on the '13 are even worse. The turn signals won't be a distraction though. It'll help keep 'eyes outside the cockpit'. VFR term, but it's the same reason we should have HUD like the Camaro, Corvette, BMW, MB, Audi.

Ford is very quickly falling behind in the tech dept.

 

Hey they where great on the older Cadillac. I even like the little turn signal indicators above the rear view window so when you look in the mirror you could see that they where on. You know in Cadillac the signal device is really extra quite.

The Mustang planners are running out of things to market so the easy thing to do A peace of plastic and really ugly wheels.
