Maybe this is the decklid/trunk area? No grill mesh suggests it's not the front grill area, but who knows.

I think it would look a bit weird for the pony emblem to be on the trunklid. It looks awful on the Need For Speed Mustang IMO.

 

I think they're just teasing about the teaser shots!

Cant picture them adding a glossy panel and an emblem that would get scuffed up on the door sill.

If that running pony emblem is indeed on trunk lid i think it would look sweet given the right proportions.

 

Pick up your feet when you get in and don't drag them. My 2013 has an easily scratchable metal plate there and it's fine.

It's from Chaz, he put it on Mustang6g. It's his interpretation of what the rear end's gonna look based on the teaser.

 

I guess I don't understand how this reveal is going. I thought we were getting a teaser a day. I guess the Edge concept was just too much for a days work at Ford.

 

Day 2 with no teaser...the withdrawals are setting in. Find a happy place. lol

 

Did they specifically say "we will release a teaser shot of the new car everyday till the reveal"?

 

I don't think so, probably what I read into, not exactly what it meant. They will however probably have the #mustanginspires pics and videos though.

 

Basically looks pretty good, really good, but...

The lower rear valence area again looks too busy and massive. Not as bad as the current car, but hardly clean, taut and upswept as, say, per the first few generations of Mustangs, or even the 2005-09 which was a cleaner execution. I guess it's just the style of the day, to have a lot of random, disjointed lumps, bumps, lines and elements jumbled together.

I think the Fiesta ST is the best rear end execution Ford's got going now: clean, pert, upswept -- connoting eager forward motion rather than dragging along a heavy butt.
