Additionally, it will be the first Shelby Super Snake also available with an automatic transmission. There will only be 300 total 2015 model year Shelby Super Snakes built.

I dig the rims too, but the cost of admission on that Mustang is almost $100,000, so I'm sure the wheels aren't cheap either.

 

people are fuzzed as this was based of 5.0 platform.

 

There'll be a niche market for the SS, but my heart belongs to the new GT350.

 

Sometimes i dont understand the huge addition to the amount of zeroes that shelby charges. Seems the 50k neighborhood is their favorite range on top of the cost of whatever model gt you choose

 

Auto transmission? Wow, stomp your foot down and try not to soil the interior.

 

Meh, just because based on the 5.0, anyone can slap on a supercharger on a GT, killing the exclusivity of the SS in my opinion.
That hood looks terrible, those air intake looked good on 2008-2014 cars, they don't fit the S550 style at all.

I agree. The cars a bit slim in form to be boasting that hood. It worked perfectly on the stout body of the prior.

 

If it had larger vents or something like that it would be perfect but not with the bulky scoop. Kinda kills the streamlind figure of the new s550.

 

I kind of agree with that.
But, I still like the car. I think it looks really good. I especially like the hood and the carbon fiber rocker panels and so on.
I bet the GT500 guys are cursing up a storm saying that it isn't a true SS because it didn't start life as a GT500.

 

You might as well consider it as a GT500, unofficially of course

 

Its nice, not for that price though. And isnt a supersnake suppose to be based on a gt500/350 and not a regular gt?

IMHO ! your much better off just getting a GT350 and putting a blower on it rather than fork over 100k + for the SS

 

I like it but i don't love it. Especially not for that price. I'm pretty sure they won't have ANY trouble selling all 300 though!

 

Is it just rumor that Ford Performance is working on a new GT500? If so, let's hope it'll be the mother of all Shelbys. If 700+ hp can be squeezed out of a 302, imagine what could be done with more cubes. The Hellcat needs a b*tch-slapping.

 

I'm sure they won't have any trouble selling all 300 either.. I can just imagine what the first one will go for on Barrett-Jackson
