Ford kicked off the official media test drives for the 2015 Mustang this week, unleashing a lot of news about the car including an app that'll do everything from finding a nearby racetrack, to pointing out key features inside.

The new app, which is one of many tech features tied to the new 'Stang, uses a system called augmented reality to highlight specific features inside the car.

Can the app be used to remotely program the navigation system from your cell phone? or can this be done without app?

 

For cars with MyFordTouch, you can use an app called Send To Car which is just an add-in for the "Share" list. If you go to google maps and find the address you want, you can click the share button and choose send to car.
Then in your car you hit the voice button and say 'Services'. It will connect to sync services and ask you if you want directions to the location. You say yes and it downloads to your car.
I wish there was a way to send directly to the car over bluetooth, but as far as I know there isn't.
