The 2015 Mustang will determine my next car
Im young and idgaf about flashy interior, even though im not in high school anymore Ive never seen a girl driving a brz/frs, and its nothing like those cars that you mentioned ^ . I do like the focus but i hate fwd, so there is no way im ever going to buy a fwd vehicle.
You have obviously never seen what a turbo can do to these cars

theres a link, imo i dont think its safe I would keep it at 400rwhp
In this area, I've seen a few girls driving the FR-S, and actually almost all of them I see are automatics. That being said, I see girls driving all kinds of cars around here, 5.0s, STs, etc. so that doesn't phase me.
I also hate FWD, but I'd be willing to give the ST ago. Unfortunately, no dealer around here would let me drive one just out of curiosity, even though there's plenty of them in stock.
I just hope the 2015 is good/great so everyone will be happy. I just want everyone to get the car they want from the new Mustang. For me personally I don't really care. I think I'm done with my passion for new Mustangs. I'm happy with what I have and their place in Mustang history.
Actually I love each one of my cars and couldn't part with them. And can't see anything that would be so great to make me sell one I have for another.

The interior wasn't too bad for me either. I like the Subaru interior better, or even the 10th Anniversary FR-S. I thought everything was within reach. The materials were somewhat chintzy, but not too bad. The back seat was a joke - I'd def do a RSD. I loved seeing the front fender humps from the driver's seat.

If your looking for serious power you will have to have a large hair dryer which means turbo lag. You would still be better off with the mustang unless you are one of those supra lovers. I have 1k hp at 8k rpm guys, wow I'm cool. Turbos are great but you need a sequential setup to get the torque across the band with big power. Not my cup of tea. It doesn't sound like you are the target mustang audience. The fact that I have to control (and can) control the car through the corners with my foot is part of the reason to drive one. Buttoned down only goes so far imho.

Have you driven a Toyobaru twin? They are so fun. Slow as hell, but it doesn't give you that sensation. You can drive it 8/10s and still be at the speed limit. The shifter is like a bolt action rifle. The clutch is a bit springy, but I got used to it. The interior is cheap, but the experience isn't about creature comfort. I just can't swallow the price though - for $25-30k, that gets me into an 03-04 Cobra or used 11+ 5.0. But then I'm back to - I can't use that power where I live. The FR-S I rented, allowed me to have fun everywhere I live. Maybe in 5 years, I'll pick up a used one for like 12-15 and hoon it around as a daily drifter.
adding wheels and tires and a turbo would cost around $8,000 and make the $25,000 well into the GT mustang price point. It would also destroy the warranty on a brand new car.
However, I have to point out that if I were to get one of the twins, it would be a nice used car. I just don't find them compelling enough to purchase brand new.
I think you all should check out the 2014 Mustang Shelby GT500 before it is too late. Pictures just do not do the GT500 right. The 2014 GT500 looks just fabulous in person. I am totally pleased I was fortunate enough to get one in Race Red with white stripes and white leather inserts in the Recaro seats. The car just looks fast sitting still. The Ford stylists and the SVT engineers sure designed and built a complete package. I am amazed how fast the GT500 is and how well it handles and stops. I cannot imagine how Ford could make a Mustang more appealing. If Ford can build a better Mustang than the current GT500, I would surely buy one. Right now I am thrilled to own a 2014 GT500. The look of the GT500 is enough to put the ZL1 down. Just park a 2014 GT 500 by a ZL1 and you will know what I mean.
I have been a GM guy for 20+ years but I do agree, the 2013-14 GT500 make the ZL1 look boring. I bought the '14 GT because it also makes the SS look boring, gets better mileage, and is faster. GM has lost me, especially after their price for the Z/28.

$25k is Terminator or used 11+ GT territory.
