Is the 2015 Mustang too European??
The back end and fastback design are a huge hit in my book. I'm not 100% sold on the front end yet, but it's still an attractive car
IRS alone makes the 2015 very interesting

In '77 I bought my very first new car, a 1977 Toyota Celica GT Coupe. It was also available as a Liftback. I've always felt that the Coupe was reminiscent of the first gen Camaros, the Liftback more like the Mustang 2+2.
In answer to your question, I see more Japanese influence in the new Mustang, at least from the rear end.
The 2015 is a beautiful looking car, and I hope Ford hits a homer with it. I don't care for it though. I want my Mustang to look like a Mustang. I want reactions to my car to be " hot looking car", not "what a beautiful looking car".
But I'm an old school dinosaur. I didn't get Nav for my 2014. I can barely figure out Sync. My iPod Nano is for convenience sake only. I still think that it ain't Rock 'n' Roll if the band doesn't have a sax and a Hammond B3.
Here's what I mean about the Japanese influence:
