I will be attending the event in Dearborn. I'm very excited for the world to see it.
Not sure if this was posted yet but Ford released a bunch of 2005 S197 design study photos yesterday: https://media.ford.com/content/fordm...d-mustang.html

I just don't see it as being part of the door sill, as it just doesn't make much sense to put the pony chrome emblem in the sill and here's my two reasons why..
1) I don't believe there would be enough clearance with the running horse in the sill when closing the doors..
2) There's a good chance of either scuffing up the emblem when exiting the car or possibly even damaging it if your foot happens to accidentally step on it..
I agree with Shawn and feel it would make far more sense if the pony emblem ends up being on the decklid

Also that gap at the bottom of the picture that looks like chipped paint could be the handle to open the trunk. But because of the angle of the picture and shading, you can't really make out its actual shape

I thought it might be the door sill because at the top of the pic you can see a line in the black that could be carpet. I agree with the clearance comment and what not about the door but hopefully that's not the rear emblem. If it is I am scared a little since it has been a long time that we needed to identify the car as a mustang with a huge pony.

I would be hilarious if that turned out to be part of the front end.
Anyway, That's why it's a good tease pic. It's like seeing a flash of cleavage that turns out to be some toes.

All current V-6 models have also had them on their faux emblems since 2005
