On December 5th, Ford will take the cover off the all-new Mustang, the sixth generation of the iconic pony car that will celebrate 50 years in production next year. Ford is counting down to the next chapter in the Mustang story by inviting people to share their photographic stories of inspiration using the #MustangInspires hashtag on Instagram, Facebook and other social media platforms. The tagged photos and videos will appear on #MustangInspires.

Is there any sort of auto show or other introductory venue on 12/5? I think the LA show ends 12/1. It would seem sort of odd just to kind of randomly throw such an important introduction as the Mustang out there on some random Thursday in cold, dark, dreary December.

Agreed. This just seems odd.

Then all consumers can see it at Detroit and they can unveil the new F150.

However, if I were King of Ford, I'd role out a Mustang "Concept" in, say, the LA show, even if a fairly thinly disguised take on the production car, to start ramping up to an official release of the actual production model on 4/17 in NY.
A 12/5 intro just seems to plop the 2015 Stang down in the middle of nowhere, calendar-wise, devoid of any marketing theme, story or context.

Pretty sure it's a Ford ran page and judging how the video's are now set to private I am going to go with the theory someone hit the wrong button because all four no longer show up in their timeline and the one I linked it private. Oh and the MustangInspires site is Ford owned.

Perhaps, but still, the date/timing still strikes me as odd (December, middle/end of week/deep in holiday season/still in 2013 for a 2015 car...). Seems more like a timing where you wouldn't want to get too much attention rather than a lot of it. Not that I'd mind seeing it sooner rather than later.
