Considering Ford hasn't even publicly acknowledged the existence of a GT500 or any car beyond the V6, Ecoboost and GT that was never likely. Also, these "standard" cars haven't even gone on sale yet. They would never steal the thunder from these cars so early in the game. Look for the "whatever they end up calling it" halo Mustang to pace something next year after all the hype has died down on the redesign. They will do that to get people talking about the Mustang again and steal thunder from anything Chevy or Dodge might be doing.

 

The 2015 looks good with a light bar. Future CHP 5.0?

I watched the race on television and saw the new Mustang pace the race. The white racing stripes made the Mustang pace car look very much like a 2014 GT500.

 

Just redesign the front. It's the only thing I don't like about it, gross.
