Hi I need a new ecm for my 2012 mustang gt code zkd1 part# Cr3z12a650adb. I called my Ford and searched online but they are discontinued. Is there somewhere I can buy this ecm new. Please let me know it would be very helpful.

(edit) I forgot to mention that the reason I want a new one is because when I bought the car the ecu had a tune that made it run rich so it wouldn’t let it pass smog. The mechanic I went to said that they don’t have the tools for it only ford does but I called ford and they said they only replace them. If there is an online service or a place I can send my ecu to so they could overwrite or return the ecu to stock I would also go that route. Any suggestions for what I could do would be helpful.

Be Advised ALL Ford Ecm's From Day One are Sold as REMANUFACTURED So They Get a Core Back. So Only When Car Was Brand Spanking New Did You Get a Replacement Which Was Actually New.

Ok The Following Numbers Are Interchangeable But Will Have To Reprogrammed To Some Extent.

CR3Z-12A650-ADA, CR3Z-12A650-ADB & CR3Z-12A650-ADC These Are Ford Part Numbers.
Id# Numbers Will Have The CR3A Prefix. This is The Number on Actual Part.

It Would BE Best If You Have Number on Your Actual Part Available When Contact Suppliers!

Thanks For The Edit, That Is a Horse of a Different Color. Must Be Some Communication Issue At The Dealer. They Sure as Can Be Reflash Your Computer To AS-Built Specs. That is What You Ask For A Reflash on Your Ecm To As-Built Specs. 35+ Years At The Ford Dealers I'm Quite Sure of That. Get The Service Manager or Call A Different Dealer! In Fact Had The Same Issue on My 07 Gt-500 Recently. and It Was a Piece of Cake To Do! Make Sure & Take all Key/Transponders in at Time of Reprogram.

My Keyboard is Still Smoking After Finding All Those Ecm's! Aye Carumba!

Just in case, do you know a good reputable service website where I can send one of the ecus you sent to be programmed just for back up if I won’t be able to do it through ford.

 

The A-1 Cardone Link is one I Would Call & Would Likely Be Programmed Less Keys. So Your Going To The Dealer or Having a Locksmith Come Out. Seriously You Just Got The Wrong Person When You Called The Dealer. The Auto Ecms is The Same Service But Likely More Spendy. Call Both & Tell Them Your Situation Worst Case Scenario, Don't Try & Just Order Online.

When You Call Ford Say I'm Calling About My 2012 Mustang Gt. I Would Like My Cars Ecm To Be Reflashed With The As-Built Calibration and Updated To The Latest Revision. What Would Be My Cost on That!
