So I'm currently replacing my alternator cause it was starting to go bad. But I noticed that this connector was leaking something maybe oil ? I just don't know what it's called but I do have a picture if anyone could help. Seems like an easy fix so I won't have to take it to the shop
That is a variable valve timing solenoid that's leaking oil. You'll need to replace it. It could be the seal around it on the valve cover, or the solenoid itself is slightly 'blown out' inside and leaking out the electrical connector.
