Sorry about the problems Mark. Sounds like a perfect oppertunity to upgrade the clutch as long as there is not a warrentee issue.

Clutch problem?! I was aware of a TSB for the Tranny...nothing about a clutch issue!

Very true indeed. The main reason I posted this (aside from the obvious ranting session...) was to also inform other forum members and allow them to be able to track progress of a potential issue and what a possible outcome could be

UPDATE: Whiskey - Tango - Foxtrot!

Napa Ford ordered incorrect parts (again...). Wrong bracket ordered - none in stock! Have to wait a '...few more days.' to get car back after engine replacement.

Moral of Story - DO NOT GO TO NAPA FORD.

Just saw this thread. Sorry you are having so many issues. But I wanted to comment on the numbers matching thing.

I don't beleive they even put a number on the engine to designate that car anymore on a normal version like a GT. I could be wrong but a lot of manufactures stopped doing that.

You are correct - they do not stamp the engines anymore.

UPDATE:
I picked up my car last night (Day #45). Short block was replaced. Im waiting on word from Ford Legal department on the buyback of this car (CA Lemon Law states a car in the shop for more than 30 days straight is a Lemon...).

My choice for a replacement....

CHEVY!

Just kidding!

2012 Lava Red 5.0 with HIDs and 3:73. Anyone have or seen the lava red? Man cool looking color, I love my Sterling Gray, but that color was deleted this year in favor of the lava red.

Just a head's up, because of the earthquake in Japan, Lava Red has been deleted and replaced with Sterling Gray.

If nothing was wrong with the top end, why replace it?

Yeah nothing was wrong with top end. Anyways, in a way they will be replacing it all. Once I get my call from Ford Legal saying they are going to buyback / replace the car...
