Totally shocked by Ford

Was at the local dealer for some service and when they were done, I decided to inquire about the clear coat peeling on my '11 GT/CS wheels. Car has just under 18,000 miles on it at about 28 months of owning it from new. The service writer said he would send it in....so after some mix up with him going on vacation.....today they took a few more pictures and within about 2 hours, they had the purchase order authorization number to get new wheels with. I am still in shock....lol

They all look like this around the GT....the mark on the tire is from the sticky note they used to identify wheel position.

That is great to hear - congrats! Now get Brembo rims instead, or upgrade to Shelby PP wheels.

I have been very happy with Ford and the service I've gotten at my local dealership. I'm glad you have the same experience.

Hmmm. My wife's nails have put some scratched out marks on the steering wheel switches (volume and channel selection). I guess I'll see if my dealer will change these out for me.

I like the wheels...just would like wider on the rear...when enough change theirs out on the CS models, I will have the unique one...lol There is a set on the local CL for $550......

When we moved here in '08, we were told the local dealer was cheap. Had some ok dealings but in the last 3 years they have really changed. Every problem I have had has been taken care of and I have seen others with serious issues that were covered also.

The wheels on my Expedition had a similar problem and they were replaced with no questions asked. I bought my first new Ford in 1973 and over the years they have been good to me.

Yeah a good dealer is the greatest thing about a purchase. They can make or break a deal. I don't even shop around when I want something new. I go see them and they take care of me every time

You can't go wrong with FORD. I've owned many and have always had the best vehicles and customer service.

Glad to learn this is being handled for you, AzPete!

That's good news indeed. Good service is the reason I have stayed with the same dealer for 20+ years. And well built vehicles is why I've stayed with Ford all those years also.

Got the new wheels on yesterday. They cost $1775 plus mount, balance, stems, and the return of the old to Ford. Glad it was their dime.....

Tried to keep the old ones for a project but they had to be returned.

Very happy with Ford.....
