I thought I would update this. It turned out my phone was the issue. It slowly went to poo and when I replaced it, the problems went away. I replaced it with another Samsung note 2. Thankfully, it was still under warranty. It seems like I might be an android convert. Sync seems to like my Samsung better than my iPhone.

I read somewhere (consumer report?) that SYNC does do better with Samsung phones. My wifes Edge Limited Sync is messing up, our dealer is saying its her Samsung phone causing it. She is going to get the 5 thats coming out in a few weeks.

Give it a couple months before you know its really fixed. My wifes Sync messes up once a month. My dealer is going to replace the whole Sync system next week but the service manager is still saying its her phone.

I'm glad to hear you're enjoying your SYNC system now. Thanks for sharing, Mr. V.

It sounds like your dealership is already taking care of you, but let me know if you have any questions after your system is replaced.

The SYNC in our 2013 GT is a hit or miss. I just pulled it out of winter storage. Each month while in storage, I would start the car and let it run for a short while or drive it around the block to keep it fresh. The few times I've driven it since being in storage, the radio doesn't turn on when the car turns on. When I press the power button, it doesn't turn on right away. Sometimes I have to press the button 3 or 4 times before it comes on.

This isn't a new thing, it's been like this off and on since we bought the car new. My problem is that I don't trust the service departments at any Ford dealerships anywhere around me with our car.

I'm hoping that there is a software update or something I can do to fix this. Also, the fact that the radio randomly decides to switch to radio or USB when turning back on again after driving is annoying. Sometimes it will still be on USB after shutting down and starting back up, sometimes it switches to radio.

Hi UOP Shadow,

If a software update becomes available, your account will notify you at: www.Support.Ford.com If you'd like me to check, send a private message with your VIN and I'll be happy to do so.

There are no settings within the SYNC system to choose a default source unfortunately. The quickest way to switch between sources is to use voice commands: http://support.ford.com/sync-technol...c-myford-touch

I have noticed this as well. Never had an issue in my Focus, but in the new Mustang it "forgets" that I was listening to my flash drive. I'll have to try this and see if it works.

Amen brother.

We're so fed up with my Wife's Sync, I dropped the Fusion from my list of possible sedans (Stync is standard even on the S version). Looking at either a Passat or Altima.

Been into our dealer five times now - they can't figure it out. PITA.

Hey sammerdog,

Please send over a PM with your VIN, best phone number, and current mileage. I'd like to take a look at your account. Fill me in on what's been done at the dealership so far. Also, let me know which dealership you're working with and which type of phone is being connected to SYNC.

I'll keep my eye out for your message.
