It seems this started after I had my elect Autometer gauges installed, not sure if it is related. When I turn my parking lights on, there is a 5-10 second delay,which is strange, then my headlights come on, not parking lights, but headlights. Everything works great except the delay and headlights come on in parking light position. Im thinking wherever the lights for the gauges are tied into, maybe it is causing this. The gauge lights only come on when lights are on, not while lights are off. Any idea why it is doing this?

 

I would be willing to bet it is related to the wiring of the newly installed autometer gauges. I would take it back to the installer or double check the wiring if u installed them. You could unhook the autometer gauges and see if the problem is resolved.

 

When I get back in from offshore, I will check that out.
