Side Skirt Issue :(

Grrr....Today while pulling in a driveway that had rocks/gravel my right tire fell in a deeper end which i did not see

... and scratched my ( passenger right side skirt ) I AM SO PISSED... I hope doctor chip works, is it even worth picking up one for 280 from ford?

What does it mean paint to match? Do i have to paint it my self? I will take a pic and show you guys, and then if you can give me your opinion....

fordoemparts.com or something has them. I dont think i need a new one... but i hate it!!!

How bad is the scratch?

If its real bad just get it repainted.

Yes, it means it comes unpainted

Ouch. I don't know if you can repair that one. If it didn't go all the way through then you should be able to get it repainted and repaired.

Maybe my eyes are failing me (I am getting a tiny bit up there in age) but I can not make out anything from that picture.

Right on the corner of the fender theres a big gash into the sideskirt. (Thats what i see)

OP it looks like it went pretty deep from what i can see in the picture. It may be fixable but it seems like a new sideskirt would be the best bet. If you did go the repair route, its gonna take plenty of filling to make the surface smooth again. Sand it down, then repaint it and blend into the rest of the skirt.

just sand it and get some touch up paint. it wont be perfect but who looks at that part of the car??

I agree. The picture is too grainy to assess the depth of the damage.

I damaged mine (ripped it off) too. Tousley had it for 180+25 shipping to Michigan. Local dealer said about 125 to 150 for paint and install

Update, thanks for the response guys...

Ok so the good news it was not a gash but deff a bruised up scrape. I will send it down and re-apply dr color chip. I just did a quick touch up. Good news is you cant see this unless u lift the car or look under.
