PCV valve issue

Hey everyone I noticed the pcv valve hose that was routed to a catch can the previous owner installed on my newly bought 14 mustang was coated with oil. I suspected maybe the catch can was full so i took off the catch can and pcv hose, to my surprise after i took off the hose there was built up oil and a wiggly metal rod / pintle looking thingy that had a lot of play and it definitely didnt look right! I looked it up but couldnt find much maybe some of you could help me (im definitely no mechanic) just trying to chase this lean condition without spending 300 bucks.

Check PDF in Post 9 Scroll Down.

That is A Pcv Valve. I Think it is Broke!

Also a Look at Your Catch Can Install and Routing of Your {Drivers Side Pcv System Hose As Well Maybe Helpful}. Hose Should Run From V/C to Filtered Intake Side.

You May Have Similar Issue to OP in this Thread! Not The Noise Itself But Improper Hose Routing.Although This is Turbo V6, Good Reference Info.

Car is 2014 5.0L Correct.
