Other Warranty Companies?? (besides Ford)

My 2014 GT is now out of warranty (40K miles), like a dope I neglected to sign up for the ESP before it hit 36k.

I called Ford, they said to extend my current warranty another 3 years and/or 90k miles, it would cost $2500 (??!!)

Not sure I can swing $2500, and I know there are cheaper used car warranty companies out there.

Can anyone recommend a trustworthy Used Car Warranty Company that work well with Ford and is efficient & easy to deal with (if/when a Warranty repair does arise)??

Thanks!!

Aftermarket warranty

Do you belong to AAA? I know they have aftermarket warranty for members. I don't have any info on it as I have ESP but maybe an option. Check it out, might be worth it.

If you can finance that 2,500 bucks, it's probably more worth it than not. You're dealing with just Ford and not a third party, meaning, quicker turn around times for your repairs and less hassle.
Good luck!

I bought a warranty from one of the largest 3rd party warranty companies. They went belly up after about a year. lost all of my money never again. Now I out some money way every month for issues after warranty.

I know that $2,500 seems like a ton of money but, for example, if you were buying that car used from CarMax, that's probably about what their MaxCare warranty would be. I think that's probably a reasonable cost if it's bumper to bumper coverage with a low ($50 or $100) deductible.

Thank you so much for your response to this thread. Lombardy was one of the 3 warranty companies I was looking at, and decided to go with them after reading your feedback. It always helps to hear from someone with actual experience from a particular company. Especially 7 years. They must be doing something right, So thank you!

$2500 sounds like way to much money for the extended warranty. However, I don't know how many years it's for, which plan, the mileage etc. I know I paid half that today for 7/75K mile premium. Now, remember, I lose 2 years, because it goes by the date it originally was bought, which in my case, just 2 years ago. So, don't forget to compensate for the difference.

There are warranty companies selling OEM Ford Warranties for 1/2 the price of what you just posted. They are 3rd party warranties, but reputable companies where you can still use FORD OEM parts and dealerships. I listed some links above. I use to buy the warranties from the dealership as well, until my sister, a research genius, helped me find my dream Mustang, and an extended warranty to go with it. I put the links in my first post and decided to go with Lombardy personally, saving another $192 with the promo code. I chose them for a few reasons, they had the 0% financing for 6 or 12 months, but the main reason was another member in this forum, on this thread has used them for 7 years, (oldnjguy). His opinion and sharing his personal experience with the company, made my decision pretty easy. A reference from a long standing customer goes a long way in today's world
. Good Luck to You!!
