is there no true esc off?
There are several functions of the ECS and TCS and they can be changed quite quickly.
1. Push the button once and you loose ESC and keep TCS.
2. Apply brakes and hit button twice you enter Sport mode - both ESC and TCS are still on but in a reduced manner.
3. Brakes on, no throttle and hold button down for more than 5 seconds - BOTH ECS and TCS are turned OFF and your along for the ride
In any mode hit the TCS button once and all come back on or just turn off and restart the car.

There is a full description of the functions in the manual
hawkeye - I also believe from what I have read and been told that only the Brembo package is capable of turning everything OFF.

IIRC you have to press and hold the AdvanceTrac button for like 3 seconds to turn everything off.

Hahaha "you're on your own" that's great.
When I make U-turns I usually give it a little gas abs go a little sideways and I usually only push the button once. So ECS is on. Goes a little sideways for some fun but I noticed if I lay into it good I can't stay sideways "smoothly" so tp speak. Like I feel I'm "losing control" like I'm fighting something for control.
I never knew about the other options so maybe I am actually fighting the ECS. Cause I wind up fighting as the Car starts going left and right(kind like over steering)

If, as mentioned above, you come to a complete stop, hold the brake pedal down and push and hold the button for about 7 seconds, you will see "AdvancedTrac Off" in the info center. ALL controls are turned off at that point. NOTHING will step in to "help" you.
I've been out screwing around in the rain and completely lost it, sliding through five 360's in a large parking lot with absolutely no control what-so-ever. On dry pavement, I can get completely sideways with minimal throttle modulation to keep it there.
Once you see AdvancedTrac off in the info center, it's like driving my '70 Nova SS. You better know what you're doing or you can powerslide your a$$ right off the road.
