Great thread. Great to hear the dealer did everything to fix your issue.

I thought this was normal and after reading this thread it looks like it is time for me to bring it in to have it looked at. Hope everything goes well for you. I really don't understand why Ford does not have an entire dif for replacement. Ford racing has several of them.
I have been putting this off on mine too. I have 11k miles now!

The worst part is, after the heavy rains we had today, I just noticed the infamous water sloshing around in my passenger side rear quarter panel. It seems like a common occurrence on these cars and I thought I would be okay, but nope. Now another fricken things have to take the car in for, and I HATE the 3 dealerships in my area, of which only one is close enough to not be a hassle, and it's THE worst one of the 3. The other two are far enough to be a PITA to do the back and forth trips, since I KNOW the issues won't be resolved on the first try.

There are three really good dealerships within close proximity of where we live - Long-Lewis, Town & Country and Ernest McCarty. T&C specializes in supercharged Mustangs. They are also a Roush dealer. I think Ford has changed the way they make their gears = cheapened. I installed some 3:55 gears in my old '89 GT. Zero issues. I had a pretty nice "cottage industry" going in high school and college installing gears in my buds cars. Mostly GM cars. I charged a whopping $25 plus parts.

my rear end just stared making some noise... At all speeds, no matter the load or speed, or even engine RPM. I heard it once @ 10K but had ford look at it for leaking Diff Vent and guess added additive? Since then it leaked again trough the vent, and yes now it is making noise @ 28K... This is my 3rd Stang ( love them ) and I would be ashamed if the new one has worse issues than my 97, or 2001 models.

Oh trust me I understand. Ford just told me next week or the week after the engineer would be into the shop to look at mine. It's been in for 30 days in 4 months. When they said that I told them to start the lemon buyback. 10 minutes later the dealer called and said it would be together today

Hello All, My '14 GT MT82 with 3.31 rear now has 11,9xx miles and I am starting to get a hum, and "clunking" feel as well (new development ) similar to bad U-joints. I guess this is more common than I thought.
