The dealer called this morning and said they couldn't recreate it and that he's been starting fine. Since he hasn't did it since I slammed my door (ouch lol) I told them to check it. It might be nothing but I don't want to go thru this again in a week or two.

I'm a little sad that I don't have 100% faith in my car like I did

How about try document (video tape) it, email the file to them since they say couldn't duplicate the issue? I remember my iPhone came handy a while back. Most dealerships won't seem to take it seriously unless they see it happening. Show them. How is your Warranty?

My warranty has expired

If it happens again I'll try to video it. I guess it depends on the dealer, a FB friend said he took video of his acting up and they wouldn't even look at it.

Will you ask them if they have a "flight recorder" on hand they can install in your vehicle, myponyandme? This may help catching the codes, or the ghost.

I just called and asked and the lady I talked to said it was up to the technician to use them and they usually don't let people use them except them. But she said if it did it again maybe they could keep it and install it and drive it around. So far I haven't had a issue with him cranking, I kind of wish he would do it again so I can get him fixed lol

Thank you Deysha

I understand, myponyandme. If it happens again, be sure to speak to your service manager about it.

when I as a mechanic back in the dark ages the thing I hated most working on was electrical gremlins .. one could spend all day looking for a bad wire then have to explain to the customer why it costs several hundred bucks to tighten a screw ...

I was worried it was going to take all week. But I could seriously hug the guy that fixed it lol. Lucky for me I have the awesomest service dept. they didn't charge me since my warranty hasn't been out long and I only have 21k miles. I got lucky there. Lol

Thank you Deysha for all your help
